Scientific American regularly calls on us to provide customized maps for their feature articles and departments. Assignments range from complex, data-heavy analysis maps to simpler maps used to locate story names. Deadlines for a monthly magazine are tighter than most of our other projects, so we provide a rapid response.

Scientific American staff usually provide research, a layout and a mockup for us to work from. Their needs vary from project to project, so we provide flexible mapping services—some projects involve mostly map compilation with minimal design work. We’re also often involved in contacting authors and scientists to acquire data and review the maps.
